Issu of Niqab
The Majlis of Addis Ababa has announced that it has reached an agreement to allow students who were suspended from school because of their niqab to return to school!
- Harun Media, October 21/2017, Addis Ababa The High Council of Islamic Affairs of Addis Ababa has stated that it has been conducting a series of discussions at all levels through our structures to resolve the problem that has arisen in some schools in our city regarding the dress of Muslim female students. Yesterday, October 20/2016, the senior leaders and executives of our High Council held a wide-ranging discussion on the issue in the presence of the Addis Ababa City Administration Peace and Security Office, the Commissioner of the City Police Commission and the city’s Education Office.
- Based on this, it is said that since the problem is occurring repeatedly and requires a permanent solution, it is said that the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran together with the Federal Majlis and the relevant government bodies should come up with a proposal for a permanent solution to the issue. Regarding the students who have been excluded from their school since the beginning of this month, it has been agreed that they should return to their school and attend their studies in the same condition as they were treated before they were temporarily excluded. Our High Council will carry out the rest of the work with attention, and on behalf of the city’s Muslim community, we would like to thank all the senior government officials of the city who participated in the discussion, for their initiative to solve the problem. ©Harun Media
